Happy Chinese Valentine's Day

August 7th. 2019, also July 7th in Chinese Lunar Calendar, is Chinese Valentine's Day.

Excel LED sales & marketing team held a celebration of Qixi Festival. The scene was relaxed and pleasant.

Folk love Story:

In ancient China, a young cowherd called Niu Lang came across a beautiful young lady, Zhi Nv, a weaver girl. She was the seventh daughter of Goddess. Soon the two youngsters fell in love with each other and got married.

However, the Goddess finally found out that her daughter had married a mortal . She exploded with rage and ordered the heaven troop to catch Zhi Nv back.

She then took out her hairpin and scratched a wide river in the sky to separate the two lovers forever. From then on, Zhi Nv could only sat on one side of the river and weaved sadly while Niu Lang had to forever on the other side of the river.

The magpies all around the world took pity on them. Every July 7th in Lunar Calendar, they would fly together to form a magpie bridge over the stars, providing a way for the two lovers to meet for a single night.

This is the story of Herdboy and Weaving Maid. From then on, girls in ancient China had great admiration for Weaving Maid’s superior skill at weaving, as well as for her steadfast love. They prayed to her specially to give them needlework skills and good fortune. The “Qi Xi” (July 7th in Lunar Calendar) gradually became a festival full of emotion for the Chinese people.
